Amy Kouch BS'19, MS'20: Exploring Asian American Identity

One of the most meaningful aspects of Stanford was the opportunity to explore my Asian American identity. Taking Asian American Studies classes allowed me to reflect upon my family's history, find mentorship, build camaraderie with classmates who shared a similar background with me, and learn about issues that affect the community even today. Establishing an AAS department would be valuable and validating.
